How to link a Cygames ID and move your game data
Protect the original account first, use the same sign-in method on the new device, and avoid accidentally creating a second Cygames ID.
Before you touch the new device
Open the original device that already has the correct game data. Confirm you can reach the home screen, note the account details available to you, and do not uninstall until the link succeeds.
Community-reported friction: Steam discussions include players unable to link existing mobile data. Follow the official order below and use official support if the correct data does not appear.
Official Cygames ID linking steps
- From the home screen, open the menu icon in the top-right and select Add. Menus.
- Select Link Cygames ID.
- Select Sign in with Cygames ID, then Link Account.
- In the browser, sign in using the email or third-party service attached to the intended Cygames ID.
- Return to the game and confirm that the success message appears.
Use the same sign-in method
Cygames warns that signing in with a different or unlinked third-party account can create a new Cygames ID. That new ID will not contain the purchase history or credit-card information of the intended ID. Match the method you used when creating the ID.
Continue on another device
After the original data is linked, sign in to that same Cygames ID on the other device. Do not assume that being logged into a platform account automatically selects the right game data; verify the in-game identity before making purchases.
The one-time-password alternative
The official guide also documents linking by User ID and a one-time password. On the original device, register and verify an email address under Link User ID, then generate the one-time credentials and enter them on the target device. Verification codes have limited validity, so complete the process while both devices are available.
When to stop and contact support
- The destination shows a new or empty account.
- The expected purchase history is missing.
- The original device no longer reaches the correct data.
- You are restricted from linking despite using the intended ID.
