How to copy a deck code into the game
The portal can generate a Deck Code or QR Code from a saved deck’s details screen. To use it in Worlds Beyond:
- Open Cards in the game.
- Choose Decks, then New Deck.
- Select Deck Code or QR Code.
- Enter or scan the code from the Deck Portal.
- Review the imported list and confirm which cards are still missing before crafting.
The flow also works in reverse: a code generated in-game can be entered in the portal so you can view or edit that deck in a browser. Codes save typing; they do not give you cards you do not own.
Build a budget deck without cutting its engine
A budget deck is not simply a meta deck with every Legendary removed. Some expensive cards are the reason the deck functions; others are flexible slots. The trick is knowing which is which.
- Choose one complete target list. Spreading vials across three half-built decks delays all three.
- Mark the engine. These are the cards that enable the deck’s win condition, searches, or central mechanic.
- Mark the flexible slots. General removal, draw, or matchup cards are often easier to replace.
- Replace role for role. Swap an early play for another early play, not for an exciting card that leaves the curve empty.
- Test before the last crafts. A few games reveal whether you dislike the deck’s decisions, which is cheaper to learn before spending the final vials.
Do not liquefy broadly to finish one trendy list.
Keep useful cards unless you understand both what you are giving up and why the new deck is worth the cost.
When you want to build or edit the list yourself
A playable deck contains exactly 40 cards from one class plus Neutral cards, with no more than three copies of the same card. The official builder can also hold a temporary list of 1–50 cards while you work, but only a complete 40-card deck can be saved for normal use and code generation.
Before adding cards, finish this sentence: “I use ___ to reach ___, then win through ___.” It sounds simple, but it catches the most common beginner problem: putting several good cards into one list even though they are trying to win different games.

Check the format before you spend vials
Format determines which cards are legal. The official builder describes Rotation as the six latest card sets plus Basic cards, while Unlimited uses all card sets plus Basic cards and may apply bans or restrictions. Simplified uses the original versions of Basic cards and cards from the first set; Boundless can appear when Unlimited has restricted cards.
This matters for budget searches. A cheap-looking list is not useful if it belongs to the wrong format, and an older deck code may import as an idea rather than a legal ladder deck. Always confirm the format in the current client or portal before crafting.
Give the deck a fair test before replacing it
Play a short block of games with the same list and keep notes that are specific enough to act on. “The deck feels bad” tells you nothing. “I had no playable card before turn three in four games” points to the curve. “My payoff arrived but I could not survive long enough to use it” points to the bridge between setup and finish.
